Covering focal lengths from 24mm wide-angle to 60mm standard, it’s suited for everything from landscapes and architecture to street snapshots and portraits with beautiful bokeh. The lens offers superb image quality and natural depth, making it an excellent choice for both photo and video shooting on the go. With its versatile zoom range, it handles a wide variety of scenes with ease. When used with compatible LUMIX S cameras, the Hybrid Zoom* feature extends reach up to 187mm, expanding creative possibilities for stills and video. A closest focusing distance of just 0.62ft and maximum magnification of 0.3x allow for expressive close-ups, whether capturing small subjects, flowers, or table scenes with soft background blur or incorporating more of the environment for dynamic perspective. Despite its large aperture, the lens remains highly portable at approximately 1.2 lbs (544g) and 3.93 in (99.9mm) in length—easy to carry without sacrificing performance. The focus ring can be switched to function as a customizable control ring for settings like aperture or exposure compensation, with the option to reverse rotation direction for a more familiar feel. A dedicated Focus button provides instant access to features such as Hybrid Zoom. Manual focus can be adjusted even during zooming, enabling smooth transitions between subjects.
